Cianjur – Kak Purwadi Sutanto, Direktur Pembinaan SMA, Dirjen Pendidikan Dasar dan Menengah, Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan RI membuka secara resmi Kemah Penguatan Karakter Siswa SMA tahun 2016 di Palace Hotel Cipanas, Cianjur, Jawa Barat.

Kak Purwadi mengatakan, mengapa kemah ini diselenggarakan, salah satunya karena ‎karakter ini sangat penting ditanamkan di era globalisasi. Seperti yang disampaikan oleh Presiden Joko Widodo yang meminta pendidikan karakter ditanamkan sejak SD, SMP, SMA sampai Perguruan Tinggi. ‎

‎”Kenapa pendidikan karakter ini, terus di suarakan betul bahwa ini sangat penting sekali. Di era globalisasi yang sangat pesat ini diperlukan generasi muda yang tangguh, generasi muda yang memiliki kepribadian dan rasa tanggung jawab yang tinggi, disiplin, etos kerja, cinta tanah air, jurnalisme, anti radikalisme, anti pornografi, anti Nafza,” ujar Kak Purwadi‎  Selasa (29/11/2016).

Menurutnya, saat ini terjadi degradasi moral yakni menurunya karakter anak bangsa, sehingga melalui acara ini karakter para siswa-siswi perlu kembali ditingkatkan. pemerintah ingin mempersiapkan anak bangsa yang siap dalam menghadapi tantangan global dengan karakter yang kuat.

‎”Sekarang lebih fokusnya adalah penumbuhan budi pekerti, penumbuhan pendidikan karakter.  Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan RI telah memfasisitasi kegiatan-kegiatan seperti ini. Bahkan seluruh bakat dan prestasi adik-adik semua itu kita fasilitasi. Mulaii dari olah fikir, olah raga dan olah rasa,” jelasnya. ‎

Kak Purwadi juga mengingatkan kembali bahaya globalisasi. Pertama mengenai penerapan UU ITE, sehingga setiap orang harus berhati-hati ‎dalam menggunakan media sosial. Ia tidak ingin adik-adik yang memiliki talenta yang tinggi dan sangat luar biasa ini. Gara-gara iseng, iseng di medsos berakibat fatal.

“Kedua juga mengingatkan kembali jangan sampai adik-adik ini terjebak dalam kehidupan seks bebas, hamil di luar nikah. Ini yang harus ditanamkan, bahwa adik-adik harus punya karakter yang kuat,” jelasnya.

Kemudian, Kak Purwadi juga berpesan kepada para peserta untuk tidak coba-coba mendekati narkoba, dan menjauhi segala bentuk radikalisme. “Samapikan kepada adik-adik semua jangan mudah terhasut oleh propaganda-propaganda orang terdekat kita mungkin, atau orang yang belum pernah kita kenal sama sekali tentang radikalisme.

Acara kemah Penguatan Karakter Siswa SMA tahun 2016 angkatan kedua diikuti 358 peserta dari 17 Provinsi antara lain Provinsi Bali, Papua, NTB, Sulawesi Barat, Sulawesi Tengah, Maluku, Sulawesi Utara, Jawa Tengah, DKI Jakarta, Kalimantan Barat, Papua Barat, Jambi, Kalimantan Timur, Lampung, Sumatera Barat, Sumatera Utara, dan Bangka Belitung.

Kegiatan Kemah ini terselenggara atas kerjasama Kwarnas Gerakan Pramuka dengan Direktorat Pembinaan Sekolah Menengah Atas, Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan dasar dan Menengah, Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan RI. Kegiatan berlangsung sampai 2 Desember.(HA/Humas Kwarnas)

Jakarta – Satu lagi prestasi gemilang yang ditorehkan Gerakan Pramuka Indonesia di dunia Internasional yakni meraih penghargaan Pahlawan Pembawa Pesan Perdamaian atau Messengers of Peace (MoP) Hero Award dari Kerajaan Saudi Arabia dan Kerajaan Swedia pada tanggal 21-24 November 2016 pekan lalu. Penghargaan bergengsi tersebut diberikan kepada Kak Jaenal Mutakin anggota Pramuka dari Kwarcab Kuningan, Jawa Barat, atas dedikasinya menginisiasi sebuah project MoP yaitu Scout Journey for Peace (SJFP).

SJFP adalah MoP dari Indonesia yang mengundang adik-adik Pramuka untuk menyebarluaskan pesan perdamaian di dalam kereta api dan di sekitar stasiun kereta api dengan melakukan kegiatan sosial dan pelayanan kepada masyarakat.

“Saya sangat berterima kasih dan bersyukur kepada Allah SWT karena diberi kesempatan dan kepercayaan untuk menerima MoP Hero award 2016 dan mewakili Gerakan Pramuka Indonesia ke Saudi Arabia. Tentu ini berkat dukungan dari semua pihak, terutama Kwarnas, Kwarda Jabar dan Kwarcab Kuningan yang telah mendukung penuh project ini di tahun 2015. Juga kami ucapkan terima kasih kepada sponsor utama SJFP yakni PT. Kereta Api Indonesia dan Harian Umum Fajar Cirebon.” kata Kak Jaenal saat dihubungi, Selasa (29/11/2016).

Penganugerahan MoP Hero Award langsung diberikan oleh Raja Arab Saudi Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud dan Raja Swedia Carl XVI Gustaf kepada perwakilan 15 negara termasuk Indonesia yakni Kak Jaenal.

Kak Jaenal menjelaskan, menjadi pahlawan pembawa pesan perdamaian sebuah amanah dan kepercayaan besar yang harus dipikul karena merupakan sebuah tanggung jawab moral, agar hidup kita bisa terus bermanfaat bagi orang banyak dan lingkungan sekitar kita. Menurutnya, pesan perdamaian harus terus disebarluaskan kepada setiap orang dimanapun dan kapanpun kita berada.

“Saya berpesan agar adik-adik Pramuka Indonesia terus memacu semangat berkegiatan Pramuka dan terus berkarya dan berprestasi agar Gerakan Pramuka Indonesia yg kita cintai ini terus maju dimasa yg akan datang. Bagi saya penghargaan ini adalah sebuah dedikasi saya dan tim SJFP untuk kemajuan Gerakan Pramuka yg kita cintai.” ucapnya.

Selain menerima Plakat MoP Hero Award, Kak Jaenal juga mendapat hadiah berkesempatan untuk melaksanakan ibadah Umroh satu hari selama di Saudi Arabia.
