Cuadra Bermudez was released thanks to her recycling project developed in the canton of Palmares, for the last 8 months with excellent results.
Juan Bautista Cruz Arrieta, scout and guide coordinator of Scouts of the World Award in Costa Rica said that the badge symbolizes the commitment of a boy or a girl with the development, the environment and peace, is a badge that recognizes the work of a person.
"It has a symbolism that operates all around the world, it contains the global scout logo . "It is a commitment that the boy or girl acquires to work with others who are working for the insignia too, to develop projects in their community anywhere in the world, " Cruz said.
Tatiana Cuadra is the first one to receive this award in all Central America, but two more Costarican boys are working on projects for getting this award too . One of them is coordinating a project to protect turtles in the Central Pacific, the other girl is in Kenya, Africa, working in an orphanage and promoting it in the world for having the necessary sources for its operation.
