One more successful Academy behind us

Over 140 participants have enjoyed 5 days of interesting workshops  and a lot of fun at the 2011 Academy. The event took place in the inspiring city of Paris from 28 October to 1 November. Participants from all around Europe had the choice of 22 sessions, many related to the overall theme of the event - “Growth through Quality”.

In addition to the workshops, there were informal presentations delivered by participants and TED@Academy, a series of inspirational contributions at start of every day. There were some social activities and the opening and closing events...On the occasion of the opening evening, the hosts from Scouts et Guides de France organised a fun game to discover Paris by using mobile phone technology.

The Academy was extensively followed by participants and their associations through social media networks ( facebook, twitter, flickr, youtube, foursquare) and the event website ( academy.europak-online.net). Presentations and reports from the sessions were uploaded instantly; news and photos were posted several times during every day. Besides this, there was blog contest on the event website where each participant could write a post about the Academy and win an amazing prize.

This year’s Academy provided great learning experiences, space for exchange of knowledge and best practices all of which was enhanced by fun during the sessions and after the official programme in free time.
Looking forward to meeting even more participants at the 2012 Academy.
