A Batik Exhibition with the theme “Indonesian Batik: World Heritage” will be held on July 12 – 16, 2011 at the Embassy of Indonesia in Washington D.C.
The Exhibition will showcase a collection of rich heritage of Indonesian batiks with its beautiful colors and patterns from many parts of the Archipelago. Workshop on how to make batik will also be available during the Exhibition.
The exhibition is held in conjunction with the ongoing American Batik Design Competition organized by the Embassy of Indonesia, to promote Indonesian culture in the United States through batik.
The Exhibition opens from 10.00am – 4.00pm at the Embassy of Indonesia, 2020 Massachusetts Avenue NW, Washington D.C. 20036. Photo ID will be required for entrance to the Embassy. Contact: 202-775-5242 or email to gaby@embassyofindonesia.org
